Bluto's: A Flavor-Packed Dining Experience in Portland

Dumpling Week! Absolutely amazing. So much flavor. Sweet, salty, rich, soft, crunchy. So so so good. 10/10 for both of us. I would love to come back to try more than just these special dumplings!

Bluto’s is a great spot for comfort food! They have outdoor seating, which is a nice touch, especially on a warm day. The service was pretty good, and the staff was friendly.The hummus with pita bread was delicious—smooth and flavorful. My favorite dish was the clams and orzo; the flavors were spot on! Overall, a solid spot for Greek comfort food with a welcoming atmosphere. Would definitely come back!

Lamb souvlaki was on point, the pita is fresh and delicious, falafel had a great flavor and texture, and the ouzo cocktails were above par. Definitely will come back.

The hummus with beef was very good but a tad bit rich. The beef was seasoned like the dish Picadillo if you’ve ever had that, cinnamon, raisins and walnuts. The hummus and pita alone was a 10/10, with the beef on top (an actual meal) was 8/10, I’d order again but no beef and order a skewer on the side. Edit: went back and their lamb & chicken is to die for! The warm pita is so good!

Great concept for fast/casual and high dining. Food is ordered at the counter, but staff will seat you in order that you arrive with table service. Food was great! I really liked the pear and arugula salad, chicken skewer, and the chocolate soft serve ice cream. Its maybe a bit on the pricey side at least compared to Lardo or Grasa, but worth a visit. My partner likes Blutos the most, but I'm more of a Lardo fan. The flavors just didn't quite awe me, but your mileage may vary. Overall I'd give it 7.5/10.

Absolutely delicious!! Love this place! My friend brought me while I'm visiting from out of town and it was wonderful. The flavors were ON POINT. The food was pleasing to both my taste buds and my eyes, as everything was beautifully plated with grace and creativity. We had the spring hummus and pita bread, two cocktails, the wedge salad, the broccoli and lentils, the oregano chicken, and the lamb. They have indoor and outdoor seating, and the ambiance inside and out is lovely. The owners are really nice and the staff are very kind as well. Definitely give it a try!

Had a great lunch here with my family. Every dish was incredible. We ordered the hummus plate, the charred carrots, pickle plate, lamb skewer, chicken skewer, beets and falafel, and the broccolini salad. We all agreed that the charred carrots and the broccolini were the most incredible, but everything was great. The vegetable skewer was the only thing that was “meh”. Very friendly counter service too.

What a fun Portland space! The wood fired char grill space produces the perfect high heat charred veg and the dishes reflect an awareness of highlighting the flavors of seasonal veggies. The pickles were addictive (DON'T skip them if you're at all a pickle fan). As was promised, their hummus was amazing, enough so that I look forward to dropping in for more! A great team behind the counter and putting out the food. Gregarious and casual feel to the whole encounter. Loved it!
